Course description
In this Ethics for AgeTech Researchers course, you will learn about key ethical principles and standards relevant to research and technology applications involving older adults with complex health needs. Special emphasis is placed on knowledge user engagement. Ethical considerations in the development, implementation and evaluation of technology are discussed. You will be encouraged to critically analyze and reflect upon your approaches to ethics and consciously engage with ethical principles and standards throughout the research cycle as well as in other situations involving knowledge user engagement. An approach to resolving ethical dilemmas is also presented.
