Welcome to the Aging Process Course, the first of four courses you will complete during your EPIC-AT Fellowship this year.
This aging process course guides you in understanding the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of aging, with attention paid to the subjective experience and the diversity of the aging population in Canada. Moreover, course content and activities will encourage you to analyze your assumptions about aging and older adults critically and identify ways in which these positively and negatively impact your engagement with them as stakeholders in your everyday lives, research, and work.
To begin, please watch the video below featuring Dr. Nathalie Bier, full professor at the School of Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy Program of the Université de Montréal, to explain more about the course and how it will positively contribute to how you can understand your work.
Please note that the video begins in French with the English introduction beginning at the 1:10 mark.
